What is a LAKA cooler?
LAKA is a high-quality cooler company created for all the adventures in life. Our coolers have been carefully designed to keep the goods cold and to make carrying easy. And, we’ve made it one of the most affordable rotomolded coolers on the market.
How did the company get the name LAKA?
In English, the word LAKA means “to lock” and in Hawaiian it means “tame" (or “chill”.) Put them together and LAKA means “to lock in chill.”
What does rotomolded mean?
Rotomolded coolers are superior coolers that can handle a high degree of heat and wear and tear. Rotomolded coolers are created using a process called rotational molding. The liquid plastic is continuously poured over thick insulation to form a high-quality cooler that has no seams. To keep even thickness for optimum insulation, the mold continues to rotate during the heating phase to avoid sagging while it cools.
What features make LAKA coolers such high quality?

How long does a LAKA retain ice?
All LAKAs will retain ice for up to 10 days depending on the temperature and how often you open it. That’s due to the rotomolded construction, thick walls of up to 3 inches of pressure injected polyurethane foam and a freezer-tight lid seal that locks in the cold.
Can I use dry ice in my LAKA?
Absolutely, LAKA is dry-ice compatible because they are hard-sided.
Do I need to pay for shipping?
Not at all, all orders will be shipped standard ground for FREE.
Do you ship to P.O. boxes or internationally?
We cannot ship to P.O. boxes, it must have a street address. We ship within the 48 contiguous United States but do not ship to Hawaii, Alaska, Canada, Puerto Rico, Guam, Mexico, U.S. Virgin Islands or Military APO/FPO addresses.
What’s your warranty policy?
All LAKA coolers have a 5 year limited warranty. Please view our warranty page for further information.
Can I cancel my order?
Because we fulfill orders same day, we do not offer automatic order cancellation. If you have any issues with your order, please call our customer service number (952-999-6367) or email info@lakacoolers.com as soon as possible.
What about sales tax?
If a specific state requires a sales tax charge it’ll show up during checkout.
Where do I go for replacement parts?
If you need a replacement part because it was damaged during use, you can purchase here.
What’s a LAKA weigh in at?
The LAKA 20 weighs 13.5 lbs. and the LAKA 45 weighs 25.5 lbs.
How do I clean my LAKA?
Dish soap and warm water is all you need. You should clean it before you use it the first time. If you have some stubborn stains or bad odor use a mixture of bleach and water.
